Chris Isham

Having found a gap in the market for folder gluer training solutions, Chris Isham founded and is now developing Elite Folder Gluer Services Ltd through his extensive knowledge and experience within the packaging industry.

Specialising in folder gluers, Chris prides himself with over 40 years' ‘on the machine' experience beginning life as an Apprentice, where he achieved his City & Guilds qualification in Folding Carton Gluing; something rarely seen in training and machine maintenance providers who are developing today.

 

 

 

 

 A variety of manufacturers

His carton and design knowledge continued to enhance his abilities within the industry, due to his work experience within various carton companies, leading himself to work on high-profile machine manufacturers' equipment including Jagenberg, Vega, Signature and many more, including a variety of automatic packing systems.

Having worked within a factory environment for many years, and in various positions, the ability to converse and develop people and departments was evident to see. This saw him move into the prolific profession of Product Specialist at one of the leading manufacturers at the time, BOBST.

Fully qualified

During this time, he relished in developing a collection of successfully, recognised industry folder gluer training programmes.  Being able to hone his skills even further, he became a trusted member of the team to not only lead in training operators but also support customers through machine maintenance, carton guidance and more.  This eventually led him to become qualified at the highest level associated within BOBST, and is proud to be the first, and only member, of the UK team to achieve such recognition.

Having spent his whole working life in this industry and seen the changes in production and skill levels, Chris feels it is time to use his knowledge as a folder gluer specialist and help the next generation of folder gluer operators.
